Quick Updates

I haven’t been around for a while, but then, I don’t have much to offer either.

I’ve been taking a lower stress approach to my dieting lately, just eating and enjoying the good food without straining over ketosis levels or weight loss.

To be clear, I’m still not losing much weight. I was down a pound on my weigh-in on Tuesday (slept in Monday), but that’s only a pound after many weeks of strict discipline.

My wife added a couple of treats to our menu — strawberries and blackberries! — but I didn’t overdo it on either. I did drop in ketosis, but never fell out, and I’m consistently in it now. I don’t even test daily anymore, never mind multiple times a day. I might check after dinner (about ninety minutes or two hours later, generally), but not much more than that. Most times I only check first thing in the morning.

So, I don’t really have anything to add to my blog lately. I don’t particularly feel worried over things regarding the diet. I know where I am, and I have to fight to stay away from “brain fog” so I work to keep at a ketotic level, but overall I just…eat. And I really enjoy my diet. It’s delicious food, makes eating out extremely easy, and leaves us very satisfied. What’s not to like?

So, if something changes, I’ll update again, but for now, I’m just maintaining status quo and hoping the weight loss will eventually kick in. I do experience moments of frustration, but overall, I’m pretty content with what’s happening.

I think. Today I am, anyway.
